About the Artist
Daniel Lanza was born and raised in the neighborhood of Bay View in Milwaukee, WI, and grew up in the ‘90s. He beat his first video game - Super Mario World for the SNES - when he was four years old.
Daniel enjoys creating multimedia art pieces inspired by retro video game moments, though his most important tool as an artist is nostalgia.
Daniel holds degrees in Nutritional Sciences and Sustainable Food Systems, along with multiple national certifications as a fitness professional. In his spare time (when not making art or gaming,) he enjoys running, weight-lifting, reading, raising houseplants, yoga, and bird-watching.
What's the story behind the symbol?
This is Delta, the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet. The Latin letter "D" is of course derived from it, but it also has many other denotations that resonate with me as a symbol of transformation, unity, and the dynamic balance between different states or forces.
